SEI HOSHINO(b.1959-)

After graduation of Hosei University, he worked for 15 yeas at a famous company in Tokyo. At first he was a avid pottery lover. He often visited gallery and potters' atelier. Finding out the beauty of the wood-fired pottery, his passion for making pottery grew. Eventually he quitted his job and became a pupil of Mr. Togaku Mori in Okayama.

Hoshino's wood-fired work has a simple and minimal-designed shape. And the pieces are covered with beautiful natural ash glaze.
