TAKASHI TANIMOTO(b.1978-)

IGA Ceramic artist in MIE pref.

Born in Mie pref. as a son of KEI (AKIRA) TANIMOTO. His late grandfather KOUSEI (MITSUO) TANIMOTO was a recognized authority on old IGA pottery. Lately Takashi moved to grandfather’s atelier and he fired inherited kiln. We are going to introduce his work at the new place. His strongly built work got sharp paddle carving lines. The touch is clear and confident. He moved forward in incremental steps.

We are going to hold his solo exhibition from 12/14/18 to 12/23/18.
