KENTARO MURAYAMA

INLAID KARATSU

FEB. 5(Fri.) - FEB.14(Sun), 2016

KENTARO MURAYAMA(b.1978- )
This young artist makes KARATSU ware in Saga pref. As the Karatsu wares originate in Korean ceramic, the style is simple and functional. Murayama has calm and strong passion to make a perfect beauty. He showed a beautiful bowl which was made of iron-less clay with pale blue celadon glaze. Too simple but beautiful. His careful work has sharp but comfortable tension. So we asked him to try inlay work which need meticulous care.
